Hmm … According to AP:

About 30 unions will run a full-page ad in newspapers Wednesday announcing their opposition to the Senate Finance Committee’s health overhaul bill, a top labor lobbyist said.

Why? The AP article goes does a little throat clearing before getting to the point, but union members get just the kind of “Cadillac” health plans that Baucus wants to tax.

Labor has been a major Democratic ally in the health care debate but is unhappy the legislation lacks a publicly run insurance plan and would tax expensive policies in an effort to drive down costs.

The rubber hits the road on the phrase, “tax expensive policies.” I have the feeling we’ll soon be reading more about special health tax exemptions for union members.

    Government Health Care.
I left my child in a daycare center that has a track record of child abuse! Just looking at it I could see it was dirty, smelled strange (kind of fishy), the playground equipment was old and worn, and the cost was way over the top. But at least it had a new coat of paint. I was desperate, time was running out, and I needed a new babysitter. I held my most precious, valuable possession and was handing her over to strangers. But …

    But …

the daycare facilitator was so nice, impressive, and sincerely promised to take good care of her. I knew the history of this place because their infamous records were on public display. The thing is they were now under new management. Well, it’s the same system and a lot of the same old staff, but a new caring manager that was very convincing and really cared, he told me so time and again. I know what your thinking… “Are you NUTS? That’s your child, your life! No one can be that irresponsible”.
Well, I have to ask you the same questions when it comes to Government Health Care… Think about this… Medicare is $36 trillion in the red (not to mention the Veterans Administration). Now Americans are just going to hand over all our health care to the government? I’m all for reform but didn’t know the prerequisite is having to check your brain in at the door! Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice… shame on me! Not sure what the answer is, but I’m pretty sure what it isn’t. Check out these quotes from famous and influential people. Should all Americans have the right (be entitled) to health care?
